A few thoughts from the show…
I really like how Feinberg has come to appreciate the Scriptures more by viewing it through the eyes of others.
First her Jewish culture and background growing up and later with a shepherd, vintner and a famer.
As Tom Sine’s mentioned on a previous episode that it’s often good to read Scripture from the underside of power since that’s how much of it was written.
I think it’s important to realize there are other understandings of Scripture than our own and often those others can shed amazing light on what God may want to tell us.
It also reminds me of a video Charles Lee shared recently from Mike Rowe (http://www.charlestlee.com/business/lamb-castration-lessons-for-business/) about how we often come across ephiphanies in the most “unusual of places” and come to realize that our way of thinking may have been wrong all along.
May we continue to examine ourselves in the lens of Scripture, as it’s read around the world, and continue to get over our own certainity.
